The Ćuk family is a first-generation Serbian-American family whose impact on American science began with NASA’s licensing of Ćuk Converter for the space shuttle in the 1960s. Even though NASA invested $21.5 billion into the development of new technologies for the Orion spacecraft, the Ćuk Converter which was invented 40 years ago, remains an unbeatable core technology and an essential component for space exploration.
Success with NASA was followed by consequent licensing of Ćuk’s technologies by Apple, Hewlett-Packard, Google, Microsoft, and other American technology giants which use Ćuk converter as the voltage regulator in DC application systems. Some of these systems are servers that power the Internet we know today.
